Reviews
This has been a favorite grocery store for a long time. I have been giving the self checkout lanes a chance and used the different types a few times now. I understand they can be cost saving measures to keep prices down.
It’s changed the store for worse. The line waits for humans are far longer with typically only one or two open. Crowded isles with product and people near all check out lanes. The process of self check out is jammed, chaotic, and frustrating. The self check out clerks work hard and clearly are doing as best as they can. They still end up checking people out individually.
It maybe a great idea. It may work in other stores. But it’s made going to this store a chore and has turned me to look to shop elsewhere.
Maria from the Flora department helped me freshen up this bouquet for an Instacart customer. She did an amazing job thank you so much for your help and your patience.
Not understanding these reviews. I love this location! Staff is so nice and helpful! Well stocked and organized. Good size parking lot, clean restrooms. Love the flower arrangement, deli, and bakery options. It's Saturday, and lots of cashiers open, thankfully, hate using self checkout. But this location is nothing like the ghetto Ralph's by my house lol I'd rather drive all the way to this one.
Having shopped at the store for over 30 years, it seems like Ralph’s won’t be satisfied with the extra profits that they’re making after raising all their prices. Now they want to make money harvesting data. I bought Oscar Meyer bacon, which was priced at $3.99. I learned when it rung up as $10.99 about digital coupons. The person managing self check out asked if I had the app. So apparently in order to get the discounts you see you need to have an app for now. In my opinion, that’s false advertising. So they are going to charge you more unless you sign up for their app and whatever their terms and conditions are. each time I go there the experience becomes worse and more annoying. I just want to go to the supermarket, buy quality food and get it at a good price. I don’t want to be manipulated into needing an app for every single thing in life.
Oh No I hate to tell you this but I need to say tonight I went to self checkout and my card was hacked at the pin pad when I swipped it and all the money about $154. was gone and I could not buy my groceries. Leaving me just a few bucks to buy one meal. I feel sad. Ralph's needs to check the pin pads and protect the customers please. I feel violated. Be careful the pin pads are hacked and stealing people's money and my money.
They sold me dented baby formula today (photos atrached). They have it locked in a case so we can't touch it or inspect it prior to buying. The cashier said she would take it to the cash register while I completed my shopping. I didn't discover it until I got home. This is not the first time this has happened at this Ralph's. Another time, they sold me the formula for toddlers as opposed to infants for my newborn. When I tried to exchange it, they said their policy was "no returns or exchanges on baby formula." So their employee's mistake became my expense (double expense because I had to pay for the right formula in order to feed my child).
Avoid this place and their sloppy business practices at all costs.
Burbank is having three Ralph..... I think this is the best in terms of huge stocks.....
Very nice and clean, well maintained.... stuffs are very friendly.....
Huge parking outside.... Star bucks and US bank counter is inside....
Plenty of stocks on Dairy , Meats, Bakery, Fruits, Frozen sections, Vegetables, liquors everything..
Most importantly wine section is excellent 😊😊
Please call the cops and get some help. Absolutely heartbreaking that I’m afraid to go shopping here because I don’t want to get robbed or worse killed. There is always some one asking for money and scary people. I hate going into this location. Just now my 17 year old was almost attacked by a man asking for her soda. He followed her to the car and was screaming at her to give him a soda. She’s completely panicking and crying. Sad! Make it safer for the people of Burbank or close the doors.
